Karmatic Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Karmatic (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) via app.karmatic.ai (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Karmatic provides a Brand Intelligence and Customer Success dashboard designed to monitor organic mentions and sentiment on the Reddit platform. Our Service is strictly Read-Only. We provide insights, notifications, and analytics; we do not provide tools for automated engagement, posting, or platform manipulation.

3. User Accounts & Security

To use the Service, you must connect a valid Reddit account via OAuth 2.0. You are responsible for:

- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

- All activities that occur under your account.

- Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all local, state, and federal laws.

4. Reddit API & Third-Party Compliance

Your use of Karmatic is strictly subject to the Reddit User Agreement and the Reddit Responsible Builder Policy.

- Authorization: You grant Karmatic permission to access your Reddit data via official API channels solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

- Independent Relationship: You acknowledge that Karmatic is a third-party developer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Reddit Inc.

- Policy Updates: You agree to abide by any changes to Reddit’s terms which may, from time to time, limit or alter the functionality of the Service.

5. Prohibited Conduct (The “Spam Shield”)

You explicitly agree that you will NOT use the data or insights provided by Karmatic to:

- Engage in “coordinated inauthentic behavior,” including spamming, harassment, or vote manipulation.

- Automate any “write” actions on Reddit (e.g., automated commenting, upvoting, or messaging).

- Attempt to re-identify, de-anonymize, or reverse-engineer data about Reddit users.

- AI/LLM Training: Use any data retrieved through Karmatic to train, tune, or improve Large Language Models (LLMs) or any form of artificial intelligence.

- Circumvent Reddit’s safety mechanisms or moderator-imposed restrictions.

Violation of this section results in immediate termination of your Service without refund.

6. Data Retention & Privacy (The “48-Hour Rule”)

In compliance with Reddit’s 2026 Data Retention Policy:

- Transient Caching: Karmatic utilizes a transient cache for Reddit content. All Reddit-sourced data is purged from our active systems within 48 hours of retrieval.

- Right to be Forgotten: We honor user deletions. If a post or comment is deleted on Reddit, it will be removed from your Karmatic dashboard during the next refresh or within 48 hours, whichever is sooner.

- No Permanent Archives: You agree not to use the Service to create permanent archives of Reddit content for the purpose of circumventing user deletions.

7. Fees, Payments & API Pass-Through

- Subscription: Access to Karmatic is provided on a subscription basis.

- API Surcharges: You acknowledge that Reddit may charge commercial fees for API access. Karmatic reserves the right to adjust subscription pricing or implement pass-through usage fees to cover these costs with 30 days’ notice.

- Refunds: Unless required by law, all payments are non-refundable.

8. Limitation of Liability

Karmatic is provided “AS IS.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:

- Service interruptions caused by changes to Reddit’s API or platform.

- Loss of data or business opportunities resulting from Reddit’s decision to throttle or revoke API access.

- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for any conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the Reddit community or the reputation of Karmatic.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Miami, FL.
